INTRODUCTION & AIMS
What it is:
- a catalogue of summary information
about scientific knowledge and concrete resources available in DC-THERA
- examples: bio-materials, protocols, publications, people, data sets, tools
What it is not:
- a data repository, nor a specific bio-database
The idea is
to collect summaries about existing resources,
to connect existing knowledge within the directory and
to provide pointers to more specific web resources.
Notes:
With more than 70 partners and third parties and 300 persons participating in the DC-THERA NoE, the DC-THERA Directory is designed to be a central reference point for research knowledge inside the network. Knowledge inside the Directory is managed in a way that makes it easily inter-operable with external resources which are annotated in a standard way, namely based on ontologies and controlled vocabulary terms.
